The Autumn Funday was held at Activity Land, Knowlhill on Thursday 19th October 2006 from 10.00am - 2.30pm.
For this event the association negociated a special admission rate for all local childminders attending our event set
at £2.50 per child and the childminder entered FREE. This proved to be an extremely popular rate.
This funday was mainly organised as a fundraising event with 'Activity Land' organising a messy play activity for
us and the children had all the indoor play equipment, water play, climbing wall and race track to occupy them.
The MKCMA committee set up a variety of fundraising stalls including a Teddy tombola, Raffle, Treasure Hunt game and
a Lucky Dip.
"I went to the autumn fun day 2006 at Activity land and had a fantastic day. The location was brilliant.
The children really enjoyed thenselves. It catered for children of all ages which is very important for childminders. The
children ran themselves ragged and all my children slept when they got home.
I think it is very important to have childminding events where parents are going to be to help promote
Childminding to parents and parents can see how proffesional we are. I had a lot of enquiries from parents on his day as to
whether I have any spaces - it is a good way of promoting your business and for you and the children to have fun!!
There was a raffle and tombola to help raise funds and the prizes on this were very good.
I must say it was a very enjoyable day out for all of us and the children still talk about now!! thank
