About the MKCMA

The MKCMA exists for the benefit of all registered childminders, parents and everyone with an interest in childminding in and around Milton Keynes

General Information

The Milton Keynes Childminding Association was first formed back in 1992. Since then we pride ourselves with being the local voice for all Registered Childminders in Milton Keynes. We are affiliated to the National Childminding Association and are also represented on the NCMA South Eastern Regional Committee.

As an association we aim to offer our members:

·        Vital information and support for everyone concerned with childminding

·        To promote high standards in childminding

·        Information updated from Ofsted and the NCMA

·        Possible Training Bursaries available (inc. First Aid as now required by Ofsted)

·        Equal Opportunities

·        Chance to form links with other Early Years organisations

How are we run?

We have a committee who are elected from our members at our Annual General Meeting held in May/June each year.

The AGM is held during our main Training Day and gives an opportunity to meet with other Childminders and Early Year Workers informally, with lunch included.
